Exploring how digital spaces shape the way we communicate across cultures

A MODL2250 Digital Communications Project

Welcome to Global Platforms, Global Voices, a website devoted to examining how the most powerful  digital platforms in the world influence cross-cultural communication. This website explores the hidden workings of digital communication through personal reflection, scholarly research, and a group podcast that uses Justin Bieber's Instagram and TikTok as a case study. The same question permeates everything, from the comment sections of a worldwide superstar to the platforms we use on a daily basis, who gets to be heard and who makes the decisions?
